A Good Canon M100 Video Review

The very compact, cool and much improved Canon M100 is out now and is much much better than the previous model, the Canon M10. The M100 utilizes the same sensor as the popular Canon 80D. However the Canon M100 has two more color adjustments in each picture profile than the 80D making it better for vloggers shooting video, as well as photographers wanting to step up from a smart phone. This new M100 looks to be a compact version of the Canon 80D that equals the quaility of that camera for online videos such as YouTube, Facebook and images for Instagram. The closest camera Sony has to be compared to the M100 is the Sony a5100.

http://ajmvideography.com - Finally, a small yet powerful DJI drone with the specs I wanted! To me it's all about the new 1" sensor. I use a Canon XC10 with a 1" sensor so I know what they will do. More detail, more latitude for color correction, less morié and a higher bit rate in 4k. As well as more collision sensors front and back. And don't forget photography now with the bigger sensor ar 20 megapixels. Looks good to me. Only other DJI option is their bigger drones. But now for me, a more professional drone for other projects besides just Youtube such as Amazon, Hulu, Netflix. Get your low budget film on these platforms without breaking the bank yet meeting their minimum specs demand.

Can I Achieve Shallow Depth of Field with a Small Sensor Camera?

Small sensor camcorders or cameras vs larger sensor DSLR cameras or cinema cameras for the bokeh effect (shallow depth of field) is almost a no contest between these two. But users of a small sensor camcorder or point and shoot camera such as a 1/3 inch or a 1/2.3 or 1/2.8 sensor (canon last one). Can achive this with a little extra work. Basically you must use the long lens technique used in motion film making sometimes. It is basically dropping back away from your subject and zooming in. Instead of getting deep depth of field at 3-4 feet with a large sensor camera, you must move back to around 10-12 feet and then zoom in. It is very do-able with a camcorder or point and shoot camera with a 10x zoom or even a 20x zoon lens such as a Canon Vixia HF G30 camcorder.
